EA Capital Management Founder Jonathon Haralson Appointed to Rural Gone Urban Foundation Board
EA Capital Management announced today that founder and managing director Jonathon Haralson has been appointed to the Board of Directors for the Rural Gone Urban Foundation, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing opportunity, education, and support across rural America.

Founded in 2022, the Rural Gone Urban Foundation provides scholarships for rural students, small-business grants for women entrepreneurs, and “Love Bombs” — judgment-free grants for women navigating cancer treatment. Its mission is to invest in “brave and strong” rural women regardless of their current season through small business grants, love bombs, and scholarships.
Haralson, a lifelong Texan with deep roots in agriculture and finance, said the Foundation’s mission reflects the same principles that define EA Capital’s work.
“Our country’s strength has always been tied to the resilience of rural America,” Haralson said. “The Foundation is doing the work that matters — removing barriers, creating access, and standing beside the people who keep these communities running. It’s an honor to serve an organization so closely aligned with our values at EA Capital.”
EA Capital Management was founded on the belief that agriculture-backed lending can be both profitable and principled. The firm partners with investors seeking stable, asset-backed opportunities that also strengthen the long-term health of production agriculture.
By joining the Foundation’s board, Haralson will contribute his expertise in financial strategy, rural enterprise, and legacy planning to help guide the nonprofit’s next phase of growth and impact.
“Rural America is often underestimated but never irrelevant,” Haralson said. “What I see in this Foundation is a group of people proving that small-town values still build big things — opportunity, education, and hope. That’s a story worth investing in.”
Since its inception, the Rural Gone Urban Foundation has supported small-business owners, awarded scholarships to students from agricultural communities, and distributed Love Bombs to women across the country “in the trenches of a cancer diagnosis.” Its lean, hands-on approach ensures donor dollars make a direct impact where they’re needed most.
