A sixth-generation farmer with a background in finance, Jonathon brings a rare dual perspective—understanding both the realities of production agriculture and the sophistication of financial markets. After graduating from Texas A&M University, he began his career as a licensed commodities broker at a Chicago-based firm, specializing in futures and options strategies designed to mitigate risk and enhance profitability for agricultural clients.

Jonathon later worked with a community banking institution underwriting agricultural loans and preparing loan packets for producers across the United States. That experience—along with ongoing relationships with more than 20 financial institutions—solidified his understanding of credit structure, cash flow management, and the evolving capital needs of rural enterprises.

Through EA Capital Management, Jonathon applies this expertise to bridge the gap between private capital and production agriculture. His team develops and manages high-value investment opportunities in farmland, agribusiness, and commodity-driven assets, emphasizing financial performance, operational transparency, and long-term sustainability.
